Valeo’s VIE Program?

The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

At the heart of electric mobility, Valeo Power brings together expertise in thermal management systems and propulsion systems. This division develops innovations that contribute to the mobility of tomorrow by reducing pollutant emissions and maximizing vehicle autonomy.

The site of Kumagaya based in Japan belongs to POWER Division. The site has 600 employees. We are looking for a VIE Management Controller for 12 months (renewable for 12 months) within the team.

Your challenges?

• You will be responsible for tracking and scrutinizing all costs related to quality issues across Valeo Power Japan’s four plants (scrap, rework, increased transportation costs, warranty claims, and sorting), as well as the corresponding rebillings to customers and suppliers

• You will participate in the monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes, you will scrutinize all expenses and help identify cost-saving opportunities.

• You will participate in the internal audit initiative

• You will have the opportunity to support the finance team in monitoring production overheads as well as all general expenses and internal costs across the four Valeo Power Japan plants

• You will assist the finance team in controlling production overheads and all general expenses and internal costs for Valeo Power Japan's four plants

• You will participate in the monthly closing, forecasting and budgeting processes, reviewing all expenses and helping to identify opportunities for savings

• You will participate in the internal control campaign

 Let’s talk about you…

• You are graduated from a Master degree in Finance, Management Control or a related field

• You already have experience in Management Control, Financial Analysis and Cost Control in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive field)

• You have a fluent level of English and ideally you have a good command of Japanese

• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking

• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy

• You have good knowledge of Excel and Google sheet
