The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your locationAt our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Applying ad-hoc Data Analytics to get insights on production activities and share the results with relevant stakeholders.
Identification of use case in the context of big data, AI and digitalization.
Deploy AI Use cases using Red Hat Openshift platform.
Specify and develop reportings in close collaboration with the business.
Replacing Excel base “Business Owned tools” by state of the art and fully automatized solutions using Palantir Foundry, Redhat OpenShift AI and TIBCO Spotfire.
Desired skills and qualifications
University degree in the area of Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (with a focus on Data Science/AI) or an equivalent field of study.
Team player.
Good communication skills.
Innovative mindset. Continuously seeking for improvements.
Advanced knowledge in programming (preferable Python, Pyspark, SQL).
Good foundation in machine learning and big data (e. g. sklearn, Pytorch, etc.).
Fluent in English language. Basic German skills.

Skills Required
- University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (data focus) or equivalent
- Eligible for VIE program (EU/EEA citizen: EU nationals, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) and under 28 at registration
- Advanced programming knowledge
- Experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Good foundation in machine learning and big data (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch)
- Ability to deploy AI use cases on Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience with Palantir Foundry and/or TIBCO Spotfire (for reporting and automation)
- Specify and develop reporting solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders
- Fluent English
