As Video Podcast Producer at Yahoo Finance, you will own the editorial and creative process of series episodes, from inception to completion. This role involves crafting podcast ideas that will align with our mission, style and target audience. You’ll develop compelling story ideas, conduct thorough research, pre-interview guests, structure questions, and write engaging podcast episodes. Collaboration is key: You’ll work closely with podcast hosts, production and video editors, and the video podcast EP to shape narratives and bring them to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and pitch finance-focused podcast episode ideas
Conduct in-depth research and partner with booking team to create impactful financial narratives
Pre-Interview expert guests to drive insightful and dynamic conversations
Write and structure podcast episodes, guiding the editing process to deliver polished content
Collaborate closely with podcast hosts to make sure they are prepared for interviews
Oversee podcast distribution across platforms, optimizing content for channels like YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Amazon and TikTok
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, media production, or related fields
4+ years in video and podcast production, preferably within a digital or news media organization
Proven track record of audience growth and platform optimization
Strong knowledge of business and finance news
Proficiency in CMS, analytics platforms, and social media publishing tools
Hands-on expertise with video and audio editing software
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with branded content and sponsorship integration
Familiarity with live broadcasting workflows
Advanced understanding of SEO and data-driven content strategy
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
