About the role
We are looking for a detailed and thoughtful long-form editor to help elevate our YouTube channel and course content. This isn’t just about clean cuts, it’s about storytelling and enhancing the viewer experience for retention and authority building.
What you'll do
- Edit talking heads, screen recordings, and multi cam interviews
- Layer in B-roll, motion graphics, and illustrations to enhance clarity
- Cut down raw footage into narrative driven, bingeable content
- Edit with a deep understanding of pacing, tone, and audience
- Deliver 2 long form videos a week
- Participate in 1 of 10 research for titles, thumbnails, and competitors, bring ideas to the table backed by data
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director on content structure and video concepts
- Edit for YouTube, courses, and other evergreen formats that support long-term brand growth
- Maintain on-brand visuals while pushing creative boundaries
You are
- Skilled in editing long form content for attention and depth
- Experienced with storytelling, content clarity, and viewer retention
- Obsessed with improvement cutting filler and keeping the signal strong
- Reliable, communicative, and proactive about deadlines
Requirements
- Collaboration and check-ins with Creative Director for performance, support, and alignment
- Collaboration with team during meetings to sync on strategy, execution, and feedback
- Maintain clear, consistent communication via Slack and project management tools
- Deliver content milestones on time and aligned with strategic goals
- Occasionally support weekend or off-hour deadlines for key campaigns
Compensation
- $1,000 - $3,000 a month depending on experience
