THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly experienced and exceptionally skilled Senior Video Editor to lead the post-production for our client's long-form YouTube content. This role is crucial for maintaining a high production standard across the main content pillars, including talking-head educational videos and dynamic Vlogs. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in professional editing software and an innate understanding of YouTube best practices to maximize audience retention and engagement.

• Execute all stages of long-form video editing for YouTube (10+ minutes), including assembly, rough cuts, fine cuts, and final delivery.
• Masterfully edit talking-head videos to be highly engaging, leveraging pacing, B-roll, motion graphics, and sound design to keep viewers hooked.
• Apply expert-level color correction and audio mixing to ensure a polished, broadcast-quality final product.
• Design and integrate custom motion graphics, titles, lower-thirds, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects to elevate the production value.
• Manage and organize large video projects, including raw footage, project files, and final assets, ensuring seamless workflow and archival.
• Collaborate closely with the content team/client to align on creative vision and incorporate feedback efficiently and effectively.

• Adobe Premiere Pro: Expert-level proficiency is non-negotiable.
• Adobe After Effects: Expert-level proficiency for complex motion graphics and visual effects.
• C1/C2 English writing and speaking skills.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in video editing.
• A quiet home office with a desk and office chair.
• Stable internet with at least 10 MBPS download & 2 MBPS upload speed.
• A laptop/desktop with 8GB RAM, a 1.6GHz processor, and 50GB of free hard-drive space, a headset, and a smartphone.
• Access to a backup place of work in case they suffer a power cut or internet failure, as well as a secondary backup internet option (mobile hotspot, Multibam, WiPod, etc.)
