Job Summary:
Responsible for executing the strategy for new and/or existing Corporate & Investment Banking relationships for a designated industry segment(s) by facilitating, preparing, structuring, and fulfilling new business development activities within syndicated and bilateral lending, capital markets, treasury management, and other corporate services. Responsible for assessing client needs and utilizing a consultative approach for financial solutions, transaction execution, and advisory strategies. Responsible for driving pitch origination and managing deal execution with leadership team. Assists in day-to-day industry team and broader Corporate & Investment Banking operations and special projects, as needed. Supports the management and mentoring of junior team members, as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working with senior bank leaders, helps develop and support the execution of effective strategies to originate and execute a wide variety of lending, public/private capital, and advisory mandates in the designated industry sector(s). This includes the preparation of detailed financial models, pitches, offering memoranda and other presentations.
  • Collaborates with business partners such as credit, capital markets, treasury management, corporate trust, wealth management, and other line-of-business segments to develop and deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Coordinates the efforts of cross-functional deal teams including underwriters, analysts, and team members, responsible for providing financial and statistical data to determine and support client credit worthiness and/or transaction viability.
  • Helps ensure all transactions and processes are in compliance with regulatory and firm guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a high standard of integrity, ethics and compliance. Identifies opportunities and takes action to enhance compliance within own organization. Promotes reputation and social responsibility; seeks and maintains external relationships and alliances, strengthening the firm's impact on and reputation in the community and the industry. Represents Pinnacle in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to junior team members as part of their ongoing growth and development. Participates in special projects as required.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Firm authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience: 6+ years of job-specific work experience in the Corporate & Investment Banking space Regular office environment;

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • May sit for long periods of time;

  • Talk and hear regularly;
  • Climb, Bend, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl Regularly;
  • Use of hands, ability to reach;
  • Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, identify basic colors;

  • Weight/force exertion required less than 25% of the time;
  • Travel required 25% -50% of the time;

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of job-specific experience in Corporate & Investment Banking
  • Experience originating and executing syndicated and bilateral lending, capital markets, and advisory transactions
  • Ability to prepare detailed financial models, pitches, offering memoranda, and presentations
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional deal teams and collaborating with credit, capital markets, treasury management, and other partners
  • Knowledge of regulatory and firm compliance requirements for transactions
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Willingness to travel 25%–50% of the time
