WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Technology team empowers Rain Makers to advance Talking Rain’s connections through constant technology modernization, education, and security.
We’re not the type to say, ‘that’s the way it’s always been done,’ so come keep us at the forefront of emerging technologies. You’ll lead the charge, defining strategy and partnering with your internal customers on solutions that change the way we work.
Reports to: CFO
Direct Reports: Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications, Sr. Manager of Engineering & Operations, & Enterprise Architect
Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA 5 days a week

Annual Bonus Potential: 40% - Eligibility is based on the company hitting annual financial targets.
Base Salary: $250,000 - $320,000 (depending on experience)
Note: New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.
Develop and execute a coherent technology roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders technology leaders to support company objectives.
Be the catalyst for change by building and maintaining strong partnerships across the organization, continuously seeking to understand needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Oversee management of technology project portfolio including opportunity evaluation, solution design, planning, change management, development and stabilization.
Lead the stabilization of current ERP system and future optimization efforts and define appropriate model for operational support while ensuring alignment with business needs.
Partner with business stakeholders and your team to execute technology initiatives, develop KPI’s to measure success, drive continuous improvement, and build a sustainable data-driven decision-making culture.
Oversee the company’s IT security measures, manage technology infrastructure, and ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
Oversee the design and implementation of information security and continuity planning for key systems to secure data, manage risk and mitigate threats.
Build and maintain a lean, high-performing technology team capable of managing internal and vendor resources effectively.
Foster a collaborative culture of innovation, accountability, extreme ownership and application of knowledge, while supporting the development of Rain Makers’ technical skills, soft skills, and business acumen.
Develop and manage the annual technology budget and capital spending, delivering cost savings where possible by delivering against company objectives, reviewing existing solutions/services, prioritizing investments, and developing business cases.
Direct and optimize the use of technology vendors and managed service providers, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective solution delivery and operations.
Create and maintain flexible systems that can quickly adapt to changing business needs without compromising security or scalability.
Focus on strategic problem-solving, pushing back when necessary, and leading the organization toward sustainable, long-term solutions.
Leverage AI to optimize specific business functions, such as data analytics, demand planning, and process efficiencies, driving quick wins without overcomplicating or disrupting core operations.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of Technology leadership experience, ideally in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
- 5+ years in a technical role supporting manufacturing industry supporting B2B.
- 3 years of experience managing a full technology department and all of its divisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a lean team and effectively manage technology service providers.
- Understanding of ITIL and other service management frameworks, and how to scale and implement them.
- Experience leading or overseeing ERP implementation and optimization (preferred).
- Ability to outline a clear direction for teams and understand the interdependencies across the company to deliver on strategic priorities.
- Ability to enlist commitment by involving others early and often as well as building behind the scenes support for ideas, strategies and goals.
- Strong collaboration skills with a track record of improving operational efficiencies and implementing solutions that align with business goals.
- People-focused leadership with ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends for special assignments.

Three Weeks of Vacation. And that’s just to start! Spend some time with us, and you’ll accrue an additional week every few years, depending on your exempt status!
Six Weeks of Paid Parental Leave. Parents get to spend time at home bonding with their new addition (whether it arrives by birth, fostering, or adoption). For birth mothers, additional time is provided for medical leave. Depending on the state in which you reside, additional time may also be available for parents who do not require medical leave.
Flexibility Stipend. For eligible Rain Makers, spend this extra monthly stipend as you wish, but know it’s intended to contribute to things like your phone, internet or other business uses while working remotely or needs outside of normal working hours.
Relocation: Relocation Available (when available)
Onsite and Hybrid Employees: Get paid to carpool! Drive to work with another Rain Maker every week at least 2X a week and receive $0.25 per mile.

Field Sales Specialist – Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate
Field Sales Managers and Market Managers – Company car or vehicle stipend included!
Regional Sales Managers and Sales Directors – We use the leader in vehicle reimbursement solutions, Motus. This program provides a monthly fixed and variable rate that adheres to IRS guidelines for the business use of personal vehicles.
Please note, eligibility for our full benefits package is based on an average of 30+ hours per week in regular (not temporary) positions.
