The VP of Technology will provide company-wide leadership for Excela Protect’s technology strategy, information security, data ecosystem, and technology operating model. Why Excela Protect?

  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k)
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • A collaborative, customer-first culture with real room to grow

What You'll Do:

  • Own the enterprise technology strategy, roadmap, architecture principles, and investment priorities in alignment with company growth objectives.
  • Translate business strategy into a sequenced technology portfolio with clear priorities, dependencies, resource plans, governance standards, and build-buy-partner decisions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on technology portfolio performance, delivery progress, resource utilization, production health, budget status, strategic tradeoffs, and material risks.
  • Establish governance for technology-enabled growth initiatives to ensure solution priorities and technology investments align with enterprise strategy, commercial objectives, risk tolerance, and operational capacity.
  • Partner with counsel and executive leadership on material technology contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, milestones, acceptance criteria, service levels, warranty terms, change-order discipline, and escalation paths.
  • Own the enterprise integration strategy for dealer management systems, digital retail and desking tools, menu providers, rating engines, payment and disbursement rails, carrier reporting, and other critical ecosystem connections.
  • Establish data governance, quality, reconciliation, retention, and reporting standards so contract, claim, financial, carrier, and audit data can be traced and defended.

What You Bring:

  • Executive-level understanding of information security, privacy, business continuity, regulatory readiness, third-party diligence, and responsible AI or automation governance in environments involving consumer, financial, or regulated data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent training and demonstrated experience will be considered in place of the degree.
  • Twelve or more years of progressive technology leadership, including significant experience leading a technology function, major technology portfolio, or enterprise technology team.
  • Five or more years in the automotive aftermarket, F&I protection products, warranty administration, or an adjacent regulated financial services or insurance technology environment.
  • Ability to set and communicate a clear technology vision, translate business priorities into a scalable technology roadmap, and advise executive leadership on opportunities, tradeoffs, investment priorities, growth implications, and risk.
