The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Building
    • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams.
    • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Technical Strategy & Execution
    • Translate the company’s technical vision into actionable engineering strategies and roadmaps.
    • Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure products for a global client base.
    • Oversee architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices across all engineering teams.
    • Leverage expertise in financial technology and investment management to ensure our solutions meet the complex needs of institutional investors.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Establish and monitor key engineering metrics (velocity, quality, uptime, cost, etc.) to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Implement and optimize engineering processes, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, QA, and DevOps practices.
    • Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Product, Design, Client Success, and other departments to align engineering efforts with business objectives and client needs.
    • Support go-to-market initiatives and client engagements as a technical leader.
    • Collaborate with industry experts and clients to stay ahead of trends and regulatory requirements in investment management.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to drive innovation and efficiency.
    • Ensure the engineering organization remains ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Ensure all products and engineering practices comply with relevant regulatory, security, and quality standards, particularly those impacting financial technology and investment management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including 5+ years managing large, globally distributed teams.
  • Significant experience in financial technology, with a strong preference for backgrounds in investment management, trading platforms, or related fintech domains.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise SaaS products on a global scale.
  • Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience as an engineer.
  • Strong analytical and metrics orientation; proven ability to set, track, and deliver on KPIs.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with agile development, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software engineering best practices.
  • Proven ability to drive change, foster innovation, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
