Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer the mission of the Vice President of Sales & Partnerships, RV & Marine is to profitably grow our retail financing business in RV & Marine and secure transformational partnerships that drive growth in the RV & Marine market. The successful candidate will develop corporate sales strategy, monitor and report on success metrics RV & Marine growth initiatives, achieve benchmark origination targets, lead and execute the corporate partnerships strategy, sign new partnerships, upgrade existing partnerships, monitor and report success metrics for partnerships initiatives, and improve partnerships processes to ensure high levels of service to all partners. The VP, Sales and Partnerships, RV & Marine will work closely with risk, strategy, marketing, product, technology, and operations, and present findings to management and make recommendations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the sales roadmap to achieve annual origination targets.
  • Create and drive the go-to-market growth strategy for retail financing in RV & Marine.
  • Provide strategic input and direction to the organization based on market feedback on existing and prospective programs and product features.
  • Create the sales team flight formation and strategy in RV & Marine.
  • Drive dealer activation, engagement, and enrollment strategy and execution.
  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies and tactics to secure high value OEM, dealer group, and strategic partnerships in the RV & Marine market.
  • Own and manage relationships with select existing and potential partnerships, leveraging sales and marketing tools to drive program adoption of any high-potential business development partnerships.
  • Provide strategic input and direction to the organization based on market feedback on existing and prospective programs and product features.
  • Identify, research and evaluate opportunities to adapt credit programs and expand OEM, dealer group, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead partnerships, sales, and account management efforts with for Captive-as-a-service partnership targets in RV & Marine.
  • Expand business relationships with existing partners including but not limited to the adoption of new credit programs, new asset classes, and digital retailing opportunities.
  • Develop creative, data-driven presentations that will highlight the benefits of an Octane partnership for both target and existing partner OEMs, dealer groups, and/or strategic partners, perform sales presentations and create customizations per client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with credit strategy, product, engineering, ops, and other departments to evolve our product with partner and business needs in mind.
  • Mentor and develop your team.

Requirements: 

  • You have 15+ years experience in a growth leadership role at an OEM, lending business, or growth business with a merchant distribution network
  • You have experience setting and achieving ambitious KPIs for a sales team team 
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate ROI against your strategies
  • You are pragmatic and can make good compromises to achieve positive business outcomes
  • You have a positive roll-up-the-sleeves attitude while working with stakeholders
  • You are a flexible, collaborative problem-solver who, above all, is passionate and enthusiastic about working in a startup atmosphere and you love to get your hands dirty
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You have a positive and practical disposition

Compensation: 

The role described above offers a base salary of $200,000 to $220,000.  Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job, location,  and internal equity.  In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.
