The VP of Revenue Cycle directs the daily operations of revenue cycle functions to include: billing and collections, charge master maintenance, contract management, denials management, billing systems, auditing, reporting, and analysis. Manages and is held accountable for increasing the company's revenue over time and ensures that all of the functions involved in the generation of revenue work consistently and seamlessly together. Must be able to work on-site in our Corporate Miramar, Florida office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of ten to fifteen years of business/industry work experience with at least three years of experience in managing multiple, medium to large cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. Experience in areas such as business process re-engineering, transformation, and Six Sigma. Healthcare/clinical operations industry experience required. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations and policies as they relate to the financial operation of a large hospice. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices or patient registration, billing, accounts receivable and cash management in a hospice setting. Prior experience and strong knowledge of hospice and physician billing and reimbursement; knowledge of payer requirements relative to coding, charging and billing. Thorough knowledge of reserving methods and impact of revenue cycle policies and procedures. Strong computer system skills including hospital financial management systems. Strong negotiation skills, initiative. Ability to plan, implement and evaluate systems and procedures. Ability to manage multiple priorities; Ability to organize, direct, and evaluate work of assigned staff.
EDUCATION
- Master’s degree in health, public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.
