Vice President, Reinsurance Actuary 

We are seeking a talented reinsurance actuary to join our Global Analytics and Advisory team in our Manila office to support our rapid growth in the Philippines and across the region. This role combines technical actuarial expertise, reinsurance strategy, and client-facing problem solving to help brokers and clients evaluate and optimize reinsurance solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

  • Be a strategic partner with brokers and clients helping solve complex client problems.

  • Help develop broking-aligned strategies that support revenue generation, including identifying opportunities and positioning analytics-led solutions that strengthen client relationships.

  • Translate complex technical analysis and concepts into clear and practical insights for brokers and clients.

  • Help modernize the way we work by applying AI and tools such as Databricks and Python to improve the speed, consistency, and scalability of analysis.

We will count on you to:

  • Communicate strategically with brokers, reinsurers, and clients to anticipate needs and deliver high-value reinsurance actuarial support in a fast-pace environment.

  • Build and apply complex models and analysis to assess risk and develop pricing and strategies across a range of exposures.

  • Evaluate and design optimized reinsurance structures considering the impact on client’s earning volatility, capital position and broader financial objectives.

  • Apply AI-enabled approaches to streamline and augment repeatable work (e.g., analysis setup, sensitivity testing, QA checks, documentation, and executive summaries) while maintaining actuarial standards, judgement and controls.

  • Support broking-led revenue generation by identifying opportunities and helping position analytics-driven solutions that strengthen client relationship

  • Mentor and train junior colleagues.

What you need to have: 

  • Experience in property (re)insurance pricing, capital modeling, and/or catastrophe modeling.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in non-life (re)insurance.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.

  • Strong ability to manage significant workflow and competing priorities through efficient time management.

  • Coding experience in tools and languages (e.g., Python, Alteryx, R, VBA, SQL); comfort working with modern analytics platforms such as Databricks.

  • Qualified or near-qualified actuary (FCAS, FIA or FIAA).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field.
