About Vantage Data Centers

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Product Department

The Product team at Vantage defines and stewards our product platform: the customer outcomes we aim to deliver, the reference designs and standards that make delivery repeatable, and the learning loops that turn each deployment into an upgrade for the next one. We work in partnership with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sustainability, Sales, Site Selection, and Business Development, aligning priorities and trade-offs while preserving clear functional ownership for design execution, construction delivery, and site operations. Product’s role is to create clarity, consistency, and leverage at Vantage scale.

Position Overview

This role can be based in Denver, CO, Sterling, VA & London, UK, following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible).

The Vice President, Product Operations builds the operating backbone that enables the Product organization to execute consistently at scale. This leader ensures the portfolio is visible and well governed, performance is measured in a way that drives decisions and improvement, and the Product organization has lightweight operating mechanisms that increase speed and predictability across a global footprint.

This role is a force multiplier for Product and its partners, improving alignment and outcomes across the portfolio without functioning as a command-and-control project management office.

What Success Looks Like

  • A single, trusted view of the product portfolio is in place and routinely used to set priorities, manage dependencies, and make trade-offs.

  • Executive and cross-functional forums reliably produce timely decisions that translate into measurable results, with clear accountability and follow-through.

  • A small set of portfolio performance measures is adopted and used to drive improvement in cost, schedule, quality, readiness, and adoption of standards.

  • Operating mechanisms measurably reduce unplanned rework, late changes, and cross-team friction, while maintaining pace.

  • Product teams and cross-functional partners report improved clarity on priorities, expectations, and status, with less time spent on reporting and more time on outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Portfolio operating cadence and governance: Establish an effective rhythm for planning, prioritization, and portfolio reviews that enables clear trade-offs, timely decisions, and global alignment.

  • Performance management and insights: Define core measures of portfolio performance and ensure they are used to guide decisions, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

  • Product operations enablement: Enable consistent product operating practices across geographies through standard ways of working and practical support for teams.

  • Closed-loop learning: Ensure delivery and operational learnings are systematically captured and translated into product improvements that improve outcomes in the field.

  • Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team spanning portfolio operations, analytics, and program leadership, and strengthen cross-functional ways of working.

Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in product operations, strategy and operations, program and portfolio leadership, transformation, or analytics in complex, scaled environments.

  • Demonstrated success building operating cadences, portfolio visibility, and governance that improve decision quality and execution outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success implementing performance measurement that drives action and accountability, including effective partnership with data owners and analytics teams.

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and influencing across functions in a global organization.

  • Executive communication that translates complexity into clear options, trade-offs, and decisions.

  • Strong systems thinking and operational rigor, with a pragmatic approach to mechanisms that increase speed and accountability.

  • Strong data fluency, including metric design, instrumentation, dashboards, and insight generation.

  • Ability to partner effectively across Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and regional leaders.

  • Travel 20%, or more as business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data center infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, industrialized delivery, or other capital-intensive engineered products.

  • Experience with outcome-based planning, benefits realization, and investment governance for complex portfolios.

  • MBA or advanced degree, or equivalent professional experience in business, engineering, analytics, finance, or related fields.
