The Portfolio Manager will lead ongoing management and surveillance of loan transactions within Structured Lending Atlanta (SLD ATL) — including credit facilities to private credit managers, specialty finance companies, and asset-backed lending transactions. The role sits within the Specialty Finance line of business and offers broad exposure to complex structured credit across the full deal lifecycle.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio Surveillance & Compliance
- Collect and monitor borrowing base reports via direct submission and virtual data rooms — at minimum monthly and at every funding request
- Ensure ongoing borrower compliance with all covenants, collateral quality tests, coverage tests, and borrowing base calculations
- Confirm recurring monthly and quarterly interest payments are received and accurate
- Ensure loan terms and structure align with Pinnacle's internal system of record
Reviews & Risk Assessment
- Complete quarterly and annual credit reviews for each borrower
- Perform quarterly risk-weighted asset (RWA) assessments for each loan in the portfolio
Origination & Deal Support
- Assist SLD ATL with new deal origination, underwriting, and transaction modeling
- Support risk management, client management

- 5+ years in commercial credit, portfolio management/operations, or structured products at a commercial or investment bank
- Direct experience originating, underwriting, or managing structured finance loans (CLOs, ABS, ABL financing)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing directly with clients
- Self-directed — able to manage a complex workload without micromanagement
