We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, POM Product Management to join our Global Clearing Platform team. This role is located in New York, NY.

The Vice President, POM Product Management is a pivotal role within BNY, responsible for driving product strategy and development within the Product Management function. This position aligns with BNY's strategic pillars by fostering innovation and enhancing client service through effective product lifecycle management. As an Individual Contributor, the Vice President plays a crucial role in ensuring that product offerings meet market demands and client expectations, while upholding BNY's principles of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Lead the development and execution of commercial data product strategies by leveraging industry expertise and market insights to develop new product offerings. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement by demonstrating effective stakeholder management. 
  • Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and growth. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by maintaining robust product governance and risk management practices. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners to promote product adoption and client satisfaction. 
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on product management best practices to support the development of the product management function. 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. 
  • Typically 5-8 years of experience. 
  • Strong strategic thinking and deep analytical skills to drive product innovation and market competitiveness. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. 
  • Proficient in product lifecycle management and governance to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Experience with building and commercializing financial data products and strong understanding of Fixed Income Markets including Trading and Funding Strategy and Liquidity Risk Management 
  • Ability to translate data into productized, actionable analytics, client-facing insights, risk indicators, benchmarks, and decision-support tools.

    Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
