Job Summary
The Vice President of Operations leads the end-to-end warehousing, inventory management, and distribution strategies for our medical device portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that operational processes are compliant with ISO 13485, FDA, and related regulatory standards. The VP will act as a strategic leader, leveraging NetSuite ERP to optimize inventory accuracy, streamline order fulfillment, and drive cost-effective, high-quality logistics solutions.

1. Strategic Leadership and Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance warehouse operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Lead a high-performance team to achieve company goals related to supply chain, logistics, and customer experience.
- Sponsor continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to optimize processes and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to scale operations in response to business growth (SIOP) and new product launches (SKU Lifecycle Management).
2. Warehousing and Distribution Management
- Oversee all Missouri City site functions, including receiving, inventory management, storage, shipping, and quality control (QC).
- Ensure that all products are stored, handled, and shipped in strict compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
- Manage relationships with all providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
- Optimize inventory management to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring high order fulfillment accuracy.
3. Technology and NetSuite Optimization
- Oversee the utilization and optimization of NetSuite ERP to improve data visibility and inventory accuracy.
- Drive the integration of NetSuite and the related warehouse management functions.
- Develop operational dashboards for real-time tracking of KPIs (e.g., safety, inventory turns, order accuracy, shipping speed).
4. Compliance, Quality and Safety
- Ensure 100% compliance with ISO 9001, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
- Sponsor and support internal/external audits and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) resolutions within target timelines.
- Promote a safety-first culture and enforce company-wide security and safety policies.
5. Financial Management and Budgeting
- Formulate and manage operational budgets, including CAPEX for warehouse equipment and technology enhancements.
- Drive COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) reduction goals and gross margin improvement.
- Analyze financial performance (PandL) of logistics operations and report to the executive team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises the process of Quality and Logistics.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred
Required Experience
10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role specifically within medical device or highly regulated product distribution.
