Your Opportunity as the Vice President, Marketing
The Vice President of Marketing will lead the strategic direction of brands and execution of marketing initiatives for The J.M. Smucker Company. This role will be responsible for driving brand growth, enhancing market presence, and ensuring the continued success of a $1.9 Billion portfolio of leading Brands in the Frozen Snacks & Sandwiches, Peanut Butter and Fruit Spreads categories, including Jif, Smucker’s and Uncrustables. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams, creating innovative marketing strategies, and delivering exceptional business results.
Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, ~50% in office expectations
In this role you will:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand growth and market share for the portfolio.

Deliver annual and long-term brand financial goals (P&L) and key brand health KPI’s.

Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Oversee the development, execution and optimization of holistic integrated marketing campaigns.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Research & Development, Insights, Integrated Consumer Experience, Operations, and Finance, to achieve business objectives.

Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources and investments across the P&L to effectively to maximize profitable growth and ROIs.

Work across business units with other Marketing VPs to ensure brand collaboration, where needed.

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

Strong desire and experience leading and developing a team

Experience leading direct & indirect reports

Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies for consumer-packaged goods (CPG) brands. Food experience preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Passion for innovation and staying ahead of/creating industry trends.

P&L responsibility with net sales over $1B
