First Databank (FDB) is currently seeking a Vice President, Marketing in the Marketing department. The Vice President, Marketing plays a critical role in shaping FDB's market presence, accelerating pipeline growth, and leading a modern marketing organization that supports FDB's continued expansion in healthcare technology.
This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity for a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who wants to build, scale, and transform. The Vice President, Marketing will guide FDB's brand evolution, strengthen demand generation, deepen Sales and Product alignment, and help position FDB as a clinical guidance partner to healthcare organizations and technology decision makers.
This position may be based out of either our South San Francisco, CA or Carmel, IN office and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work onsite at least three days per week.
Responsibilities:
Set and evolve FDB's marketing strategy in alignment with commercial goals, market opportunities, product strategy, and executive priorities.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing organization across product marketing, digital, brand, marketing operations, events, content, and agency partnerships.
Drive full-funnel demand generation and account-based marketing programs that engage healthcare executives, clinical leaders, pharmacy leaders, payers, and technology partners.
Lead FDB's brand positioning and market narrative as the company expands from drug knowledge provider to clinical guidance partner.
Partner with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and executive leadership to strengthen go-to-market planning, launch readiness, campaign execution, and revenue accountability.
Own marketing technology, analytics, attribution, performance reporting, budget planning, and executive-ready insights.
Guide responsible adoption of AI-enabled marketing workflows to improve speed, quality, personalization, reporting, and team productivity while maintaining brand standards.
Required Skills:
Executive-level marketing strategy, business acumen, and ability to connect marketing investment to pipeline, revenue, brand strength, and market expansion.
Proven ability to lead transformation, scale teams, build operating models, and create clarity in a complex B2B healthcare technology environment.

Required Experience:
12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior marketing leadership role.
Experience in healthcare technology, health IT, clinical informatics, pharmacy technology, health data, healthcare SaaS platforms, or an adjacent market.
Demonstrated success building, transforming, or scaling a marketing function, including team development and operating model improvement.
Experience leading demand generation, ABM, product marketing, brand positioning, campaign strategy, marketing operations, and executive-level reporting.
Experience partnering with Sales and Product Management on go-to-market readiness, buyer and persona mapping, messaging, sales enablement, and launch execution.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, healthcare administration, technology, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in South San Francisco, CA or Carmel, IN. The reasonable estimate is $120,000 to $260,000 for South San Francisco, CA and $140,000 to $200,000 for Carmel, IN. A final decision on the successful candidate's starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
