Job DescriptionRole Purpose
The Vice President, Lean Operations & AI Transformation will build and lead the operating system that fuels revenue growth: a disciplined Lean management approach to eliminate waste and variability, fused with AI and intelligent automation deployed as a genuine force multiplier. This is not an automation-for-its-own-sake mandate. The objective is capacity creation — freeing people from repetitive, low-judgment work so they can be redeployed to the higher-value, relationship-driven, and decision-intensive work that actually differentiates the business. Every initiative should answer the same question: does this create capacity we can reinvest in growth?
The role will launch inside Operations — standing up the team, the methodology, and an early portfolio of wins — and is explicitly designed to scale outward. As credibility and results accumulate, this leader will take on a matrixed leadership posture across Sales, Client Services, Finance, Compliance, and other Auto functions, serving as the enterprise's go-to authority for how Lean and AI are applied across the business.
Key Skills & Experience
- Ten (10+) years leading operations, process excellence, or business transformation, including direct experience designing and running Lean/continuous-improvement programs at scale.
- Demonstrated success integrating AI and intelligent automation (RPA, IDP, conversational AI, agentic AI, generative AI) into operational workflows, with measurable capacity and financial outcomes.
- Experience operating in a high-growth or scaling business, with a track record of building operating leverage — enabling revenue growth without proportional cost or headcount growth.
- Proven matrixed leadership: the ability to earn credibility and drive change across functions without formal authority, building coalitions and consensus in a matrixed organization.
- Track record building and leading a lean, high-performing team, plus experience scaling capability through citizen development and centers of excellence.
- Strong change management orientation — comfortable designing workforce transition plans, reskilling paths, and communication strategies alongside technical deployments.
- Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to translate between Lean methodology, technical AI/automation concepts, and business/financial outcomes for varied audiences.
- Financial and analytical fluency — able to build the business case for initiatives and credibly own ROI reporting to senior leadership.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent Lean/continuous-improvement certification) strongly preferred; Master Black Belt a plus.
- Formal training or certification in AI, automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Azure AI, AWS AI/ML), or data science is a plus.
