As a Vice President in the WM Solutions Product Development team, you will be responsible for transforming and overseeing governance frameworks, due diligence processes, and fund structures across pooled investment solutions.
You will be responsible for overseeing governance frameworks and due diligence processes across fund structures. Working closely with key stakeholders, internal committees, and fund boards, you will ensure robust governance standards aligned with regulatory requirements. As part of a newly established team, you will help shape its structure, workflows, and operating models, while also leading and mentoring team members. The role involves a high degree of interaction with our different functional partners such as Portfolio Managers, Advisers, Legal, Risk, Tax, Compliance and Middle Office. Building and maintaining relationships with J.P Morgan affiliates, third party management companies, and the fund industry in general is also key to the role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide strategic direction on due diligence processes for third-party management companies, ensuring ongoing compliance and performance standards are upheld.
- Review and approve governance reports presented to senior management, internal committees, and fund boards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory alignment.
- Provide subject matter expertise and leadership on product initiatives, guiding teams to identify gaps and develop innovative solutions across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Oversee the production of quarterly KPI reports for ManCos, ensuring performance is consistently tracked against agreed benchmarks to support informed oversight decisions.
- Champion the adoption of technology and digital solutions to automate and streamline governance workflows, driving operational efficiency and process improvement.
- Oversee the management of advisor queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses while maintaining effective support for control functions and portfolio managers.
- Monitor and assess emerging industry trends and market developments, providing strategic guidance on their potential impact on the product offering.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Significant experience in the wealth or asset management industry, with particular expertise in product development or governance of regulated funds (UCITS and AIFs).
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the design and build-out of a new function or team, including defining processes, frameworks, and operating models.
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and present findings to senior stakeholders and board-level audiences.
- Project and product management experience demonstrating ability to identify gaps and develop innovative solutions across multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience supporting audit and control reviews and working effectively with internal and external auditors.
