Your New Role
The VP Internal Audit, Studios & Production will be responsible for leading and managing the global audit and advisory strategy for the Studios segment, leading risk-based value-add internal audits and advisory projects from risk assessment through communications and remediation efforts with executives. The role will have significant interaction and work very closely with executive senior leadership globally within Studios & Production, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations and other Corporate and Business groups. This individual will lead the team responsible for executing audit and advisory initiatives within the Studios segment, overseeing strategic internal audit, assurance and advisory efforts across WBD Studios, Productions, and Content. This person will also serve as a strategic partner and advisor to executive management on risks facing the business and will be responsible for understanding the business strategy and risk insights from industry, company, client, peer and other sources to holistically assess across the business. This leader will serve as a change agent supporting ongoing organizational transformation and learning as relates to risk/controls and helping to influence behaviors that support achievement of the company's strategic objectives. Collaborates with other senior audit leaders to meet organizational and company strategic goals by identifying and leading the continuous improvement of departmental operations.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Strategic oversight and visioning of all assurance and advisory activities for WBD Studios, Production and Content, responsible for understanding key strategies, risks, objectives, systems of WBD Studios and how that translates to risk and internal audit strategies to provide assurance over internal controls and processes, advise and anticipate risks and be instrumental in accelerating achievement of business objectives. Acts as a partner and risk advisor to WBD Senior Executives and Leaders (e.g., Production & Studio leaders, WBD & Business CFOs, Executive Officers, Presidents, EVP/SVP level) through 1-on-1 interaction, participation in executive steering committees, business reviews and other means to develop and align nimble assurance and advisory plans with business strategies. Delivers updates and insights to executive management and the audit committee on achievement of plans and key outcomes/insights.
- Develops and implements long-term and short-term strategies and objectives and is accountable for execution of remit assurance and advisory plans. Prioritization of resources and provides growth leadership and oversight to Internal Audit teams for execution through direction, mentoring, coaching, and direct hands-on participation for the high-risk/complexity/sensitivity areas requiring expert analysis and judgement. Serves as a key leader in developing studio & production risk and internal audit strategies, developing relationship and communication channels with WBD executives and to provide guidance, focus, review and approval of assurance/advisory final deliverables. Progressively recruit and develop a high-performing professional audit team with the knowledge, skills, experience, and professional certifications necessary to audit effectively, and with emphasis on leadership development. Reviews activities of the function for effectiveness and implements changes for continuous improvement.
- Oversee risk assessment strategy and activities of WBD Internal Audit studios & production for financial, operational, reputational, regulatory/legal, extended enterprise, strategic, technology and talent risks. Defines strategy, methods, approach and systems and coordinates assessment activities and strategic alignment of tactical response plans. Aligns IA risk strategy with strategies of related risk areas including ERM, financial compliance, compliance office, legal, risk management, etc.
- Oversee coordination and alignment of plans and activities for remit with other strategic areas including WBDIA Professional Practices, Data Analytics, IT Audit & SOX/Compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a supervisory / leadership role preferably in a variety of roles demonstrating working with global teams;
- Experience implementing best practices that require significant innovation for improving processes by applying advanced understanding of complex functional / technical and business issues and challenges
- Adaptable to a changing environment, ability to embrace bold ideals, intellectual curiosity; desire to test assumptions and challenge conventional thinking
- Strong ability to build influential relationships based on shared business and risk objectives
- Ability to deliver outstanding business impact and elevate Internal Audit's value proposition
- Possesses a strong understanding of data, innovation and technology and their importance in the audit function; think about and seek to leverage the power of data analytics or further technical expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills a must
- High integrity and dedication to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral; ability to influence key executives and develop effective audit communications to convey key insights, action plans, business process improvements.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all areas of the business at various levels, including executive and senior leadership

- Bachelors Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field. MBA or Masters preferred.
- Relevant active audit certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRMA or similar
- Expert level knowledge of internal audit for Studios, Production, Content and Risk with experience in audit, advisory, and/or cross-functional experience in operations or finance roles.
- Expert knowledge of current and emerging internal audit methodology, techniques, and control frameworks (e.g., COSO), in-depth understanding of agile, enterprise risk management, and is a specialist in relevant financial disciplines, business operations, or industry.
- Expert knowledge of Internal Audit Professional Standards and professional practice requirements, fundamental business processes and control best practices
- Strong understanding of business and IT operations, strong analytical and project management skills, and working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to influence and be able to clearly and concisely communicate both written and verbally to various levels including senior executives.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and translate ambiguous directives into meaningful action items and deliverables.
- Proven ability to proactively, dynamically and continuously adapt strategies and plans to align efforts with a quickly changing company and industry.
- Proven ability to use professionalism and expertise to influence 'best' outcomes and organize teams to achieve company objectives.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $197,050.00 - $365,950.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
