Vice President, Innovation

We are seeking a Vice President of Innovation to join our team. In this critical leadership role, you will drive innovation initiatives, incubator programs, business development, and cross-functional collaboration across Clarivate's Academic and Government (A&G) business. You will play a key role in expanding A&G's market presence, fostering a culture of innovation, and championing new opportunities for growth within the A&G portfolio. You will be a thought leader responsible for ensuring alignment between product teams, driving strategic innovation, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to advance Clarivate's impact in the academic and government sectors.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, driving product innovation and growth within a B2B, SaaS, or technology-driven environment.
• Knowledge/Experience in the gen-AI market

What will you be doing in this role?

• Lead Innovation Initiatives: Drive innovation within A&G by identifying and implementing growth opportunities, leveraging the A&G portfolio in collaboration with product and management teams across A&G business units (BUs).
• Incubator Leadership: Oversee A&G’s incubator programs, guiding emerging projects through their development and evaluation. Manage the process and pipeline for new incubator opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product leaders across A&G to ensure the successful integration and alignment of innovation initiatives.
• Community Engagement and Collaboration: Build strong relationships with customers, industry leaders, and the broader academic community to drive collaborative innovation. Lead A&G’s AI Council and work on developing new community models across business units.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding A&G’s market presence and product portfolio through partnerships or acquisitions. Work closely with Strategy and Business Development teams.
• Cross A&G Portfolio Champion: Break product silos and foster collaboration across BUs, ensuring alignment with innovation and business strategies to drive success across the A&G portfolio.
• Strategy Development: Partner with the A&G Strategy team to embed innovation into the vision and long-term strategy of A&G.
• Thought Leadership: Drive A&G’s innovation agenda by sharing insights, trends, and contributing to industry events to establish Clarivate as an innovation leader.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours, with flexibility to accommodate global time zones.
