Position Summary
The new Vice President will support the Managing Directors in origination efforts and take part in developing the team’s pipeline of future business and maintain a significant brand in the market during an exciting period of growth for Assured Guaranty
Position Description
- Develop origination efforts across both primary and secondary market across the UK.
- Work on a broad array of deals both in the primary and secondary markets across International infrastructure and energy sectors.
- Opportunity to lead transaction negotiations with sponsors, external advisors and funding partners, as well as presenting credit proposals to the investment committee.
Candidate Background
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent credit skills, strong commercial acumen
- First-rate communicator, able to negotiate and influence an internal and external audience to bring deals to a successful conclusion in a timely manner
- Detailed understanding of the valuation and economics of project finance and infrastructure assets, and the assessment of their associated risks and risk-mitigants
- Track record of successfully closing infrastructure financings in the PPP space
- Excellent analytical and credit skills combined with a deep understanding of the risks associated with debt structuring
- Substantial experience of preparing and presenting credit papers to internal investment committees, along with a solid track record of negotiating and closing transactions across a broad range of sectors and geographies
