A Day in the Life:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of information technology, including infrastructure, application development, application support, data platforms, and third-party system integrations.
• Define and execute a technology roadmap focused on platform modernization, system stability, scalability, and operational standardization.
• Provide hands-on leadership across application development and support, ensuring disciplined SDLC practices, change management, and production stability.
• Oversee cloud-based data pipelines, ingestion, validation, and enforcement of data quality rules to ensure accuracy and traceability of financial and claims data.
• Establish and maintain governance standards for system integrity, reporting consistency, security, and compliance.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, services, and cost optimization while ensuring appropriate security controls are in place.
• Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to align technology solutions with operational, financial, and client needs.
• Manage and coordinate external vendors and technology partners to ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives.
• Participate in on-site collaboration as needed to support onboarding, planning sessions, and key initiatives in Montgomery, Alabama.

What it takes:

• 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with direct oversight of application development and data engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel to and work on-site in Montgomery, Alabama, on a periodic basis to support onboarding, collaboration, and key initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, relational databases, and data quality enforcement.
• Proven ability to own and support production systems handling financial or healthcare-related data with a focus on accuracy, traceability, and reliability.
• Demonstrated success modernizing technology environments and introducing structure, documentation, and governance into growing organizations.
• Experience leading cloud infrastructure, security practices, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical contribution when needed.
