Provides strategic leadership and vision for organizational technology initiatives, aligning IT systems and capabilities with business goals to drive operational excellence and support growth. Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of critical technology solutions that enhance business processes, improve customer experience, and safeguard data security.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Provides strategic direction for technology teams, guiding the development, deployment, and support of solutions that enhance performance and align with organizational goals.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to prioritize high-impact technology initiatives, assessing organizational needs to drive key projects.
- Oversees the resolution of complex technology issues, ensuring solutions are timely, cost-effective, and compliant with governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Presents technology strategies, project updates, and outcomes to executive leadership, advocating for resources and advancements needed for success.
- Evaluates and improves operational processes to boost efficiency and reduce risk, implementing best practices across technology functions.
- Manages and optimizes departmental budgets, ensuring resources align with business priorities and support scalable growth.
- Leads cross-functional teams in designing and executing both short- and long-term technology strategies that foster innovation and business transformation.
Nature and Scope
- Problems are complex and difficult. Solutions require complicated, extensive analysis and detailed investigation.
- Sets or changes the operational plans/goals of an area/business.
- Leads major business processes or support functions to execute company strategies.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management role having significant business impact.
