The Vice President, Information Technology – Transfer Agency is responsible for the governance, oversight, risk management, and operational effectiveness of technology solutions supporting Transfer Agency operations. This role serves as the primary technology and operational executive accountable for ensuring that Transfer Agency systems, vendors, controls, and processes operate in compliance with regulatory requirements, service commitments, audit standards, and business objectives.
The Vice President will oversee key Transfer Agency technology vendors and service providers, establish and maintain governance frameworks, manage technology risk, support business growth through acquisitions, and ensure the successful conversion and integration of acquired businesses onto the organization's Transfer Agency platforms and operating model.

  • Transfer Agency Technology Oversight inclusive of (but not limited to); Vendor Management & Oversight, Governance, Risk & Controls, Conversions & Business Integrations, Regulatory & Audit Leadership, Data Governance & Operational Controls and Leadership & Stakeholder Management.
  • Provide executive oversight of all technology supporting Transfer Agency operations, including transaction processing, account administration, workflow, reporting, interfaces, and data management.

Vendor Management & Oversight

  • Lead executive oversight of Transfer Agency vendors and outsourcing partners, ensuring strong governance, service delivery, regulatory compliance, risk management, and adherence to contractual and security requirements.
  • Responsible for being an executive relationship manager for transfer agency through performance reviews, SLAs, audits, issue resolution, remediation planning, and establish quarterly/annual governance reviews with key stakeholders.
     

Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Establish and oversee governance, risk, and control frameworks for Transfer Agency operations and technology, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, privacy obligations, and information security policies.
  • Monitor technology and vendor risks, audit findings, and control effectiveness, leading issue escalation, remediation activities, and support for SOC, regulatory, internal, and external audits.

Conversions & Business Integrations

  • Lead technology due diligence, conversion, and integration activities for acquisitions and strategic business initiatives, ensuring seamless migration of data, operational processes, reporting, and vendor services onto Transfer Agency platforms.
  • Establish governance and oversee cross-functional integration programs, partnering with business, operations, compliance, legal, and client service teams to deliver successful and controlled business integrations.

Regulatory & Audit Leadership

  • Act as technology representative for regulatory examinations, audits, and control reviews related to Transfer Agency operations and technology, ensuring compliance, effective governance, and a strong control environment.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit teams to maintain control documentation, address audit findings, and drive timely remediation of control deficiencies.
     

Data Governance & Operational Controls

  • Establish and oversee data governance and operational control frameworks for Transfer Agency operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of client and transactional data.
  • Lead data quality, reconciliation, reporting, and monitoring processes while maintaining effective segregation of duties, change management controls, and operational risk oversight.
     

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and execute the Transfer Agency technology strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities to support business growth, operational scalability, risk management, and client service objectives.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams while fostering strong partnerships across Operations, Client Service, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Product functions to support Transfer Agency platforms and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic reporting and insights to executive leadership on operational performance, vendor effectiveness, audit outcomes, and risk exposure while promoting a culture of accountability, governance, and service excellence.

What You Will Bring

  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience within financial services, including significant experience supporting Transfer Agency, fund administration, investor servicing, wealth management, or related operations.10+ years supporting Transfer Agency, fund administration, wealth management, or investor servicing operations.
  • Degree in IT or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Significant experience overseeing third-party technology vendors and outsourced service providers.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating governance, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Experience managing regulatory examinations, audits, SOC reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading technology workstreams for acquisitions, conversions, and business integrations.
