The Vice President of Human Resources serves as the executive leader responsible for Enterprise Electrical’s people strategy, culture, and workforce development. This role provides strategic direction across talent acquisition, human resources operations, and training and development through a team of Directors who own day to day execution.


This position is focused on building a scalable, high-performing people function that supports rapid organizational growth, strengthens culture, and enhances the overall employee experience. The VP acts as a key member of the Senior Leadership Group, partnering directly with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and compensation strategy.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

Culture, Engagement, and Employee Experience

  • Serve as the executive steward of company core values and purpose across all levels of the organization
  • Define and drive the overall employee experience strategy from recruitment through career development
  • Establish engagement initiatives that support both field and corporate teams
  • Build communication frameworks that align a multi-location workforce
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Strategy

  • Set strategic direction for talent acquisition in partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition
  • Develop workforce planning models aligned with business growth objectives
  • Support executive and leadership hiring initiatives
  • Ensure recruiting infrastructure, tools, and processes support hiring demand
  • Represent the company’s employer brand externally

Leadership Development and Training

  • Establish leadership development strategy in partnership with the Director of Training and Education
  • Identify and develop high-potential leaders across the organization
  • Implement succession planning for key roles
  • Oversee leadership programs, career pathing, and mentorship frameworks
  • Ensure training initiatives drive measurable performance improvements

HR Operations, Compliance, and Infrastructure

  • Provide strategic oversight of HR operations including employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HRIS
  • Develop compensation structures and incentive programs
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws across operating locations
  • Drive benefits strategy to remain competitive and cost effective
  • Implement HR analytics and reporting for executive decision making

Organizational Design and Change Management

  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational structure and role design
  • Lead change management initiatives tied to growth and expansion
  • Establish scalable HR policies and procedures
  • Oversee performance management frameworks and accountability systems

Director Development and Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop Director-level direct reports across HR functions
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership development
  • Establish clear expectations and performance standards
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration across all HR functions

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills

Education and Certification Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

Certifications/Licenses:

  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 10 to 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or VP-level role
  • Experience leading HR in a multi-state, multi-site environment
  • Proven experience scaling HR infrastructure in a high-growth organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through Directors and senior leaders

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Expertise in compensation strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design
  • Executive presence with ability to influence senior leadership and field teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to drive culture, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision making

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience in construction, electrical contracting, or related industries
  • Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Business Administration
  • Experience building or scaling talent acquisition functions
  • Experience developing leadership programs and career frameworks

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Ability to travel to various office and project locations as needed

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Requires collaboration with executive leadership and field operations
  • Occasional travel required
