Vice President, Human Resources

This position is posted for both our Woburn, MA and Arlington, VA locations. We are looking to hire one candidate for the role and we are open to having the future hire work in either location.
The Role
The Human Resources (HR) VP will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Operations and be a key part of a team made up of HR, Finance, Contracts & Legal, Facilities, Security, and IT. We are seeking an HR VP with a balance of strategic and operational expertise who can define and execute an HR strategy that aligns with STR’s mission and business objectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Build and lead a team that currently has 15 talented and high-performing HR professionals
- Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy to recruit and retain high-performing talent, including campus recruiting & recruitment marketing
- Develop and organize learning & development programs
- Oversee diversity, equity & inclusion efforts
- Shape culture & employee experience/onboarding
- Spearhead employee relations
- Oversee performance optimization efforts
- Oversee benefits administration
- Analyze compensation to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace as well as internal equity
- Ensure that systems are in place for HR process efficiency, including assessing, implementing, and sustaining an HR information system
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and policies
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as HR Leader/Director in a high growth environment; preferably in the high-tech industry environment
- Experience leading, building, and developing high impact teams
- Significant experience driving talent acquisition in a highly competitive environment
- Demonstrated experience building learning and development programs, preferably in a high-tech environment
- Experience with refinement and execution of performance management processes
- Experience with benefits administration
- Objective and balanced leader able to deftly navigate complex situations involving conflict and negotiate positive outcomes
- Exemplary integrity, decision making, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
