By leveraging a comprehensive suite of services and solutions, the Strategy, Enablement and Transformation Team is one of the key foundational pillars that supports overall GBSC and enterprise stakeholders in optimizing their business to drive value and enhance performance.
As the GBSC continues to scale and mature its operating model, the organization is seeking a Vice President, GBSC Operations Excellence & Enablement. This leader will be responsible for establishing and leading the performance management, financial planning, and operational governance framework for the GBSC. This role focuses on defining how the business is measured, planned, and governed-ensuring clear visibility into performance, disciplined resource planning, and strong operational oversight across internal teams and third-party partners. Reporting into senior leadership, this individual will lead a cross-functional team responsible for FP&A, data governance, performance management, vendor governance, and process discipline, working closely with business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES• Own and lead the GBSC performance management framework, including KPI definition, performance tracking, and review cadence• Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning aligned to business priorities• Manage capacity and workforce planning process, providing visibility into demand, utilization, and resource allocation• Oversee data governance and business insights, ensuring a single source of truth for reporting and analytics• Establish and manage vendor and contract governance frameworks, including SLA definition, performance scorecards, and governance routines• Lead vendor and BPO performance reviews, ensuring alignment to service and cost expectations• Define and manage process governance standards, including process ownership and change control• Oversee documentation and knowledge management practices to support operational consistency and enable automation and AI initiatives• Provide analytical insights and decision support to senior leadership, including performance trends, forecasts, and trade-off analysis• Partner with Strategy & Transformation, Customer Experience, PMO, and Finance to ensure alignment between planning, performance, and execution• Partner with GBSC operations teams by delivering global standards, monitoring progress and adoption, and coordinating ongoing alignment & governance across teams
SKILLS• Strong financial and analytical capabilities, with deep experience in FP&A, performance management, and operational planning• Proven ability to connect financial, operational, and data insights to drive decision-making• Experience building and leading KPI frameworks and performance management systems• Strong understanding of vendor governance and third-party performance management• Experience establishing process governance and operational discipline in complex environments• Ability to influence across functions and drive accountability without direct authority• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights• Excellent communication skills, including ability to present complex analysis to senior leadership• Collaborative and pragmatic leadership style, balancing rigor with business needs
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE• 15+ years of experience in finance, operations, business performance, consulting, or related roles• Proven track record leading performance management, planning, or operational governance functions at scale• Experience in global shared services, GBS, finance operations, or similar environments strongly preferred• Demonstrated experience managing vendor and third-party performance frameworks• Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, and resource management• Experience building or maturing data governance, reporting, or analytics capabilities preferred• Bachelor's degree required; finance, business, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $189,000 - $312,000 USD
