We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Fund Accounting team. The area of business focuses on preparing and calculating accurate Net Asset Values (NAVs) across all funds in accordance with BNY standard operating procedures, providing services to all clients and ensuring that client concerns/requests are addressed as soon as possible and within an agreed timetable. This role is located in Wrocław.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Managing the performance of a multi-client fund accounting team
- Managing client relationships and resolving any escalated fund accounting issues
- Providing guidance to a team under supervision to ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with regulations and departmental policies and procedures
- Ensuring necessary controls are in place and adhered to in order to provide complete, accurate and timely fund administration services to clients
- Leading working relationships with all parties involved in fund accounting processes
- Contributing to the preparation of NAV calculations and performing accuracy checks to ensure the completeness and correctness of NAVs delivered to clients
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance processes, including driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- At least 5 years of experience, preferably in finance related area, accounting background would be an asset
- Strong financial knowledge, especially relating to the financial instruments
- Fluent English
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
- Analytical skills, sense of responsibility for your tasks, timeliness and reliability
- Experience in people management - preferred
- Exposure to data analytics, automation, or AI enabled tools (e.g., Alteryx or similar platforms), with the ability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency, controls, and insight within fund accounting operations - preferred .
