If you’re excited about building intelligent products, shaping workflows at scale, and being part of a high-growth company that’s rewriting the rules of document analytics in regulated industries, come join us at Wisedocs.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will play a critical role in the strategic management and financial oversight of the organization. You will be the first, full time, senior finance leader at Wisedocs and joining at an exciting time. As the VP of Finance, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy and operations during a period of rapid growth and scaling. You will oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis, fundraising, cash flow management, budgeting, accounting, compliance, and risk management.

We’re looking for someone that has experience scaling a venture backed business from Series A/B or later, and understands the velocity, flexibility, and grit required at this stage of growth.

In this role you will balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution—building financial infrastructure, managing investor relationships, and ensuring financial discipline across the organization. You will work closely with the CEO, founders, and board to align financial performance with long-term business goals, support fundraising efforts (venture capital, debt financing, etc.), and help guide the company through key milestones such as Series B+ funding rounds, geographic expansion, and potential exit opportunities.

  • Lead responsibility accounting frameworks and cost center management to drive accountability and efficient resource allocation across business units.
  • Manage treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization.
  • Partner with our external auditor, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to domestic and international accounting and reporting standards.

  • Collaborate with Legal on risk management, contract compliance, and corporate policy enforcement.
  • Manage and negotiate SaaS contracts, including vendor, customer, and partnership agreements, ensuring fiscal prudence, appropriate risk mitigation, and operational scalability.
  • Supervise corporate insurance programs and coordinate with brokers to ensure optimal coverage and compliance.

Revenue Enablement

  • Review and approve complex deals, providing financial and risk assessments to accelerate close cycles.
  • Support sales teams on custom pricing, renewal negotiations, and revenue recognition policies.

  • Design and manage sales compensation, commission plans, and incentive frameworks tied to performance outcomes.
  • Oversee equity administration, collaborating with Legal and HR on cap table management, new grants, terminations, and annual valuations.
  • Provide leadership with insights on compensation trends to balance attraction, retention, and fiscal responsibility.

Investor Relations

  • Prepare quarterly investor materials, capital plans, and due diligence packages to support ongoing communication and funding initiatives.
  • Oversee corporate capitalization strategy, including management of the cap table, option grants, and 409A valuations.
  • Play a key role in future fundraising activities, from financial modeling to investor engagement and transaction execution.

Leadership & Systems Enablement

  • Build and mentor a high-performing Finance organization
  • Champion continuous improvement of financial systems and infrastructure, including ERP, CRM, billing, and CLM/CPQ tools, to support operational scalability.
  • Partner cross-functionally to strengthen financial governance, business intelligence, and strategic execution as the company expands globally.
