Job Description

Vice President, Finance and Accounting

Responsibilities:

The individual in this role manages aspects of the day-to-day workflow of the Finance and Accounting team and supports the Director of Finance and Accounting.

The Vice President, Finance and Accounting is responsible for the following:

• PSG’s consolidated financial statements, along with the annual audit process and preparation of analyses/memoranda related to the GAAP and IFRS treatment of various items in the financial statements

• Reviewing account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements

• Analyzing financial results for the current reporting period versus prior reporting periods.

• Quarterly and annual management reporting and financial reporting required by the Brookfield Asset Management corporate team in Toronto

• Management reporting required by senior management

• Managing the day-to-day work of staff members

• In addition, working closely with the Director of Finance to assist with executive-level reporting/communications

Candidate Education and Experience:

• Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA or equivalent), with at least 6-9 years of ‘Public Accounting’ (or similar) experience preferred.

• Strong financial background, ideally with a experience in financial services.

• Demonstrated ability of leveraging information technology to achieve business objectives

• A history of project or team management preferred

• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills a must
