The Vice President reports to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and supports the CMO in developing and implementing comprehensive short and long range internal and external marketing plans to help increase brand awareness, drive growth, and improve Firm performance. This position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by the Firm.
This position assists the CMO with creation and management of a firm-wide marketing plan and budget, which is closely associated with the firm-wide growth plan, created by the CEO, COO, and Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities, aligned with Ryan’s Key Results:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global demand generation team, cultivating innovation, accountability, and career growth.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative culture that fosters modern marketing capabilities and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with peers in brand, events, and communications to ensure alignment and best practice sharing.
  • Champion cross-departmental collaboration with Sales, Service Delivery, and Sales Operations teams to align on goals and streamline execution.
  • Provide clear strategic direction while developing pathways for growth and advancement.

Client

  • Design and execute integrated campaigns tailored to enterprise and mid-market segments, aligned with vertical industry strategies.
  • Translate tax policy changes and competitive insights into targeting, messaging, and new go-to-market opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales and Regional Leadership to deliver campaigns that address local market needs and capture emerging opportunities.
  • Create outbound and account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to drive net-new client acquisition, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
  • Partner with the Events team to align campaign and event plans, supporting with messaging and content development that drive client engagement and lead generation.

Value

  • Own and deliver pipeline growth targets through multi-channel programs (digital, paid media, webinars, ABM, and integrated campaigns).
  • Leverage data and analytics to evaluate and optimize campaign performance, lead quality, and funnel conversion.
  • Collaborate with marketing operations to enhance reporting and turn insights into improvements that increase marketing’s contribution to revenue.
  • Partner with Service Delivery to guide allocation of the demand generation budget within the P&L, ensuring resources are aligned to maximize ROI and support growth priorities.
  • Ensure brand consistency, positioning, and messaging across campaigns in collaboration with brand, events, and communications teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in B2B demand generation, marketing strategy, or go-to-market leadership with at least 5+ years in professional services.
  • Proven success in scaling global demand generation and ABM programs that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills with ability to align senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet navigation and research. 

  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot).
  • Strong experience with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics).
  • Working knowledge of SEO, paid search, social media platforms, and ABM tools (e.g., Demandbase, 6sense).

Additional Experience:

  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills with the ability to align senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships.
  • Integrity in high-profile collaborative execution of cross-functional deliverables.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • No formal certifications required; however, certifications in Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, or Google Ads are a plus.
  • Leadership or digital marketing certifications (e.g., AMA PCM, Pragmatic Institute) are advantageous.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages a team of demand generation managers and campaign specialists.
  • Responsible for performance management, training, coaching, and resource planning.
  • Provides direction, feedback, and leadership in line with Ryan’s values and leadership principles.
