As a member of this team you will work closely with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Business Growth & Entrepreneurship pillar, Women on the Move Center of Excellence and Global Supplier Diversity program teams, supporting both internal and external communications, collaborating with corporate communications colleagues across the firm, and cultivating relationships with media outlets.
As a Communications Manager within Corporate Communications you will bring our Diversity Equity and Inclusion stories to life for internal and external audiences, and provide clear language that communicates the firm's Diversity Equity and Inclusion work and accomplishments. You will work in a fast-paced environment interfacing with dynamic teams and senior executives across the firm.
Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute holistic communications plans for select Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Manage high profile announcements and initiatives, lead media outreach, and relationship building, and support development of various messages and materials
  • Prepare and staff executives for media interviews and external stakeholder events
  • Write executive talking points and speeches for various internal and external events, including investigating and sourcing relevant data and context for inclusion, drafting remarks and building consensus among subject matter experts
  • Partner with the firm's lines of business and functions to amplify Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives and content to help clients, prospective clients and colleagues tell our story
  • Generate ideas and identify key moments in time for creative storytelling opportunities to lead employee engagement, and stories for inclusion in brand campaigns and various reports
  • Write, edit and maintain quality of select internal communications content, including articles, videos, digital messaging, etc.
  • Support ad hoc communications assignments across public relations, strategic communications and the Diversity Equity and Inclusion department
  • Tracking and reporting of updates and key performance metrics for the Diversity Equity and Inclusion communications team
  • Operate using multiple digital platforms and tools, including the firm's intranet, SharePoint, Microsoft teams, etc.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 7 years' experience in corporate communications, news or media relations
  • A flexible team player who demonstrates impactful storytelling, results-oriented communications and end-to-end project management
  • a self-starter with a holistic understanding of corporate communications, executive communications presence and an exceptional writer that can generate and edit content for multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker leader and problem solver that can drive projects forward and provide communications guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced in media relations, and able to identify ways to amplify the firm's messaging, accomplishments and impact on diverse business communities
