Responsible for originating public and private credit opportunities in APAC including leveraging various financing products (e.g. loans, bonds, etc.), covering a wide credit spectrum (IG, HY).

Key Responsibilities    

  • Lead and support the origination of debt financing opportunities, aligning with the firm’s strategic objectives and client needs.

  • Execute comprehensive debt solutions across a spectrum of plain and structured debt instruments, including bonds and loans.

  • Support client engagement, including pitch preparation, negotiation advising client on strategic financing objectives.

  • Support the management of transaction lifecycle, including credit rating assessment, financial analysis and management transaction documentation, credit approval proposals, pricing and return model. Ensure seamless execution of deal closing and post-closure management.

  • Actively involved in syndication preparation (including investor presentation materials) and deal soundings and liquidity analysis and discussions, etc.

  • Supervise junior team members and provides necessary guidance and fostering professional development.

  • Responsible for achieving assigned business performance targets, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in all aspects of debt origination and syndication.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant product experience in syndicated debt and structuring, including corporate, structured, capex financing, acquisition finance, leveraged lending, venture debt

  • Experienced in debt and debt-like instruments and structures – including bonds (public and private note structuring), loans, share-backed, market derivatives

  • Extremely solid problem solving skills and project management skills

  • Reasonably good access to major clients in the region and good relationship building and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent credit and financial analytical skills

  • Familiarized with credit markets and related products and how they interact and applied: corporate financing, IRS, FX, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, Strong Team player yet able to work independently

  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
