Our Financial Services Compliance and Regulation (“FSCR”) practice is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President to join a fast-growing team advising asset managers, private equity firms, investment firms and other regulated financial services institutions.

The role involves supporting clients across the full regulatory lifecycle, from initial authorisations and registrations to audits, independent reviews and ongoing outsourced compliance support, helping them navigate an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities (Senior Associate & Vice President)

  • Perform comprehensive non-compliance risk assessments, including the design and implementation of second and third-line control frameworks, tailored to each client’s business model.

  • Support clients in the implementation of major financial regulations, including MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS, as well as other key sectoral requirements (SPIN 2, AML/CFT, DORA, GDPR).

  • Actively participate in clients’ compliance, risk and governance committees, presenting audit findings, internal control conclusions and ensuring effective follow-up of remediation actions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, value-added solutions and actionable recommendations.

Additional Responsibilities – Vice President Only

  • Drive the development of FSCR’s market presence in Europe, contributing to business growth, client acquisition and enhanced brand visibility in the French financial services market.

  • Lead the end-to-end management of client engagements, including long-term assignments and ad-hoc projects, while maintaining strong, trusted, day-to-day client relationships.

  • Provide people leadership, including team management, career coaching, onboarding and mentoring of new joiners, delivery of internal training, and active participation in recruitment initiatives.

  • Oversee the economic performance of engagements, including budgeting, pricing, invoicing, and participation in commercial negotiations to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a leading business school, engineering school or university, with a specialization in finance, compliance, regulation or audit.

  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience (depending on level) gained within a financial institution, asset manager, investment firm or consultancy environment.

  • Strong and hands-on knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to asset management companies and investment firms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.

  • A strong client-centric mindset, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality service.

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and articulate them clearly.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; autonomous, well-organized and able to handle multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Life at Kroll:

  • A hybrid working environment with offices located in the heart of Paris.

  • International exposure, working alongside colleagues and clients from across the globe.

  • Access to internal training programs and opportunities to pursue external professional certifications.

  • A collaborative and dynamic culture supported by regular team-building events.

  • Opportunities to participate in annual corporate social responsibility initiatives, including hands-on volunteering activities.
