External and internal Communications is an integral function within J.P. Morgan's Commercial & Investment Bank. You'll join a team that's a trusted advisor to senior leaders and key stakeholders across the company and utilizes a variety of channels and tools to reach its target audiences. The team develops, executes and measures internal communications programs that help ensure employees remain informed and engaged on the business strategy, priorities and culture; and promote both proactive and reactive external communications initiatives that highlights the business and aid in safeguarding the firm's reputation.
As a Communications Manager Vice President within the Global Banking (GB) business, you'll contribute to the internal, executive and external communications strategy supporting both the Global Corporate Banking franchise, which serves large corporate, financial institution and public sector clients around the world, and the Global Banking product and experience group, which is responsible for creating a seamless and engaging client journey. The role will involve close collaboration with leaders across our business and functions, and across JPMorganChase's global internal and external communications teams to deliver key messages and coordinated story that align with business objectives for employees, clients and relevant media outlets.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative and engaging communication strategies
  • Identify, craft and deliver clear and concise communications, including executive messages, business updates, business or human interest stories, organization announcements and employee events
  • Lead efforts to deliver and amplify key messages across a variety of owned channels, such as the intranet newsfeeds, digital signage, email messages, newsletters, large employee meetings, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Collaborate and/or lead communications efforts for annual and reoccurring internal programs across the business, such as newsletters
  • Lead connectivity and collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders and partners on issues impacting our business and to help advance business objectives
  • Draft talking points, briefing documents, bylines and other written materials, as needed
  • Support both proactive and reactive external communications efforts
  • Conduct research and help track down facts in close collaboration with internal team
  • Identify opportunities to modernize communications, make process improvements and enhance efficiencies and identify and track key performance metrics to report on results


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of communications experience in a large, matrixed organization or within a PR agency
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills; as well as verbal skills with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Creative presentation skills (expertise in PowerPoint) to help develop materials that tell a larger story
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with team members at all levels and across the globe
  • An obsessive attention to detail, a deep respect for journalism, an appetite for reading around the subject, and a curiosity to learn more about banking
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently to execute on projects while taking direction from multiple managers in a timely manner
  • Commitment to maintaining the firm's high standards related to risk, compliance and its Code of Conduct


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience supporting banking or financial services companies
  • Additional multimedia/creative design skills (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, HTML)
