The Vice President of Operations & Engineering - Arkansas is a senior leader responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the company’s engineering and manufacturing operations in Arkansas. Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, this role oversees multiple facilities and teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality tool manufacturing while driving continuous improvement, profitability, and scalable growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, people‑focused leader with deep manufacturing experience, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to align operational execution with organizational strategy.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals, growth plans, customer commitments and market demands
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive growth, profitability, and competitive positioning
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, automation, and process optimization

Manufacturing Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of manufacturing facilities, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
  • Drive performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to ensure operational transparency and accountability
  • Champion Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Engineering & Product Development

  • Lead engineering teams to support automation, tooling design, product development and manufacturability efforts
  • Ensure new product introductions (NPI) are executed efficiently and meet quality standards
  • Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet regulatory, industry, and internal quality standards
  • Maintain robust safety programs and a strong safety culture across all facilities.
  • Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations

Financial Performance

  • Develop, own, and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve margins as well as evaluate ROI on capital projects and operational iniatives

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop senior managers and operational leaders
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Support workforce planning, training, and talent development initiatives

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and HR to support operational goals
Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA a plus
  • Minimum 10 - 15+ years of progressive experience and responsibility, manufacturing environment preferred
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as: VP, Director, General Manager, etc.
  • Proven success leading large teams and managing complex operations
  • Strong leadership and executive decision-making capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certifications
  • Experience in tool manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related industries preferred
  • Proven track record in operational efficiency and cost management
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Deep knowledge of safety, and compliance
