Our client, a leading global professional services organization, is looking for an accomplished Vice President – Application Development & Management Services (ADMS) to play a pivotal role in scaling its technology services business.

The role sits at the intersection of application development, managed services, technology transformation, delivery leadership, client engagement and business growth.

This is not a direct sales role. The expectation is to build trusted relationships with senior clients, deliver measurable business outcomes, understand evolving technology and business needs, and identify opportunities to deepen and expand existing engagements.

The Role

The VP will lead large and complex Application Development & Management Services portfolios, primarily supporting global Banking and Financial Services clients.

The individual will be responsible for driving end-to-end application services, spanning application development, enhancement, modernization, maintenance, production support and managed services.

The role requires a leader who combines strong technology credibility, scaled delivery leadership, executive-level client engagement and organizational-building capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale Application Development & Management Services (ADMS) engagements across application development, application maintenance, enhancement, modernization, transformation, cloud and integrated technology services.
• Own delivery excellence, operational performance and client outcomes across a diverse portfolio of global BFSI clients rather than being anchored to a single account.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, technology heads and senior business stakeholders, acting as a strategic technology and delivery partner.
• Understand client priorities, technology roadmaps and emerging business requirements to identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing engagements.
• Provide technology leadership across custom applications, enterprise applications, ERP/CRM ecosystems, APIs, integration platforms, cloud-native applications, digital platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Lead application transformation initiatives involving legacy modernization, cloud migration, re-platforming, application rationalization and engineering transformation.
• Drive application lifecycle excellence across development, enhancement, testing, release, production support, incident/problem management and continuous improvement.
• Lead and scale large, multidisciplinary teams comprising Engineering Managers, Application Architects, Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, Program Managers, PMO and technology teams.
• Build strong talent pipelines, develop leadership capability and ensure effective resource, capacity and succession planning across multiple technology stacks.
• Partner with Sales, Solutioning and Architecture teams on strategic pursuits, including solution design, estimation, TCO, commercial constructs, transition planning and multi-tower solutions.
• Drive automation, AI-led engineering, DevSecOps, cloud adoption and productivity improvements across application development and management operations.
• Establish and strengthen ADMS operating models, governance frameworks, delivery methodologies and performance metrics for a rapidly scaling technology services business.
• Ensure strong focus on quality, SLA adherence, productivity, margins, operational efficiency, risk management and customer satisfaction.
• Create a culture of high performance, agility, innovation and accountability across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 20+ years of experience across Application Development, Application Management, Technology Delivery, Solutioning and/or Managed Services.
• Significant experience within IT Services, Technology Consulting or Digital Engineering organizations.
• Deep experience in Banking & Financial Services, preferably managing technology engagements across multiple global banks or financial institutions.
• Strong experience across Application Development & Management Services, including application development, maintenance, modernization, transformation and production support.
• Experience managing large technology portfolios, complex multi-tower engagements and globally distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, custom applications, ERP/CRM, integration, APIs, cloud, digital platforms and modern application engineering practices.
• Experience driving application modernization and cloud transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/GenAI, automation, cloud-native engineering, DevSecOps and platform engineering is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience managing large P&L/revenue portfolios, operational metrics and delivery economics.
• Proven ability to engage with CIO/CTO/CDO-level stakeholders and senior business leaders.
• Experience leading through Engineering Managers, Architects, Program/Delivery Managers and PMO, rather than operating purely as an individual technology specialist.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
