The Role

The Vice President, Account Management will sit within CAA Brand Consulting Vand will lead the day to day account teams of  key brand consulting clients, focusing specifically on the strategic concepting, management and execution of Olympics partnerships. The candidate will lead interfacing day to day with the client, manage junior team members and will work cross functionally with internal/external vendors, clients, agencies and properties within the Olympics ecosystem, as well as bringing new ideas and opportunities for consideration.

Responsibilities

•    Develop and deliver overarching strategic vision based on brand objectives for the Olympics 
•    Lead coordination of key stakeholder engagement and involvement including clients, other agencies and Olympics rightsholders 
•    Negotiate with Olympic rightsholders including OCOGs, NGBs, NOCs, talent and beyond
•    Lead overall activation and hospitality planning, pulling in specific functions, as needed
•    Demonstrate creative and innovative thought leadership, keeping ahead of trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations 
•    Creation of key project documents such as budgets and briefings 
•    Oversee the team who will manage the day-to-day partnerships, ensuring continuity across properties and strategic, creative thinking
•    Oversee the development of integrated marketing and sponsorship activation plans, showcasing how digital, social, PR, retail and other channels come to life, working with internal account team, client team and external agencies
•    Work with CAA Data & Analytics to oversee the management of measurement evaluation and ideate around ways to expand measurement 
•    Work with other team functions (e.g. Creative, Experiential, Social Impact, Insights / trends, etc.) to ensure goals and objectives are met
•    Act as a resource for the teams in trouble shooting and problem solving
•    Lead, manage and inspire a team of direct and indirect team members
•    Create presentations for key meetings internally and externally
•    Develop and deliver compelling written and verbal communications
•    Build, maintain and play key role in driving year over year business and account growth

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar discipline
•    12 – 15+ years’ experience in negotiating and managing Olympics partnerships 
•    Must be flexible and have the ability to travel and be on-site at events
•    Previous experience managing a team including writing and delivering performance reviews
•    Must be financially literate with excellent budget management and forecasting skills
•    Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•    Proven strategic development and stakeholder management/influence skills
•    Strong market and industry knowledge and presence 
•    Must have excellent thought leadership skills
•    Understanding of the client’s industry and latest developments
•    Strong negotiation skills
•    Must have strong experience with Microsoft 365 especially, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
•    Excellent multi-tasking skills with an ability to balance and progress multiple projects and project components at one time, on tight timelines
 

Location

This role will be located in our New York or Los Angeles office. The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires a minimum three days per week on-site.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $180,000–$230,00.  This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
