Job DescriptionThe individual will join a technical operations team dedicated to managing rotating machinery in a refinery environment. Their task will be to ensure the efficiency and reliability of equipment through lubrication, mechanical maintenance, and support in vibration analysis, contributing to the predictive and preventive maintenance service provided by John Crane. The work location will be at the Client’s facilities.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure maximum performance of operating machinery at assigned facilities through predictive and preventive maintenance activities, including:
- Vibration measurements
- Lubrication of rotating machinery (oils and greases)
- Thermography and infrared analysis
- Laser alignment of machine trains
- Oil and fluid sampling for analysis
- Field balancing and alignment
- Minor mechanical maintenance
- Operational support and guidance to the client’s maintenance team
Correctly interpret collected data (vibrations, thermographic signals, lubrication parameters, etc.) and ensure clear and continuous communication with the client, working in full synergy with other professionals involved
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- 3–5 years of practical experience in rotating machinery lubrication
- Degree in Engineering or Technical Diploma (preferably mechanical or similar)
- ISO 18436 Category 1 certification in vibration analysis required; Category 2 is a plus
- Training for working in confined spaces will be considered a plus
- Good interpersonal skills, initiative, and operational autonomy
- Interest in condition monitoring and fault diagnostics via vibration analysis
- Fair knowledge of English (written and spoken)
