Job Description:
Diagnosis, treatment and control of fish diseases:
· Diagnosis of fish diseases in our laboratory: necropsy, quick diagnostic tests, microbiology and contact with external labs for additional tests if needed
· Visit the farms for field diagnosis frequently
· Prescription of treatments (antibiotics, antiparasitics, anaesthetics, etc.)
· Follow up of medicated feeds orders and correction of treatments if necessary,
· Supervise and coordinate with other departments to deliver the medicated feed as soon as possible
Register, complete and authorize the documents that are under responsibility:
· Fill and send pathology reports to customers after analysis
· Control and update of Register book of medicated feed. PPM reports
· Registration of shipments to external laboratories.
· Sign export certificates
Manage Pathology service attending the needs of our clients:
· Advise our clients on aspects related to health: legislation, biosafety, comprehensive health management
· Collaborate with other departments when necessary for studies of a client (bromatological analysis, residues of antibiotics, etc.).
· Collaborate in the training of clients when necessary.
Control of medicated premixes:

Skills Required
- Experience diagnosing and treating fish diseases including necropsy, microbiology and use of diagnostic tests
- Ability to perform frequent on-site farm visits for field diagnosis
- Authority to prescribe veterinary treatments and manage medicated feed orders
- Experience preparing and sending pathology reports and registering shipments to external laboratories
- Knowledge of legislation, biosafety and comprehensive health management for aquaculture
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments and train or advise clients
- Authorization to sign export certificates (veterinary license or equivalent)
