The Role

Position Overview: Veterans Affairs (VA) Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As a member of the PFS consulting team, the SME will provide expertise to support client engagements, account planning, and key proposal efforts across various VA programs and initiatives. This role is critical in offering strategic guidance and ensuring the successful delivery of impactful solutions aligned with VA priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The SME will contribute to a wide range of client-facing activities, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth research and presenting findings through presentations, reports, and other materials tailored to various audiences.
  • Advising VA leaders on strategic insights, organizational improvements, and actionable recommendations.
  • Reviewing and refining contractor deliverables, including reports, presentations, and communications materials, to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Supporting PFS initiatives by offering expertise to enhance client engagements, improve account planning, and strengthen proposal development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Significant experience at the Executive Leadership level within the VA (e.g., VA Central Office, Network Director, Associate Director, or equivalent roles).
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in roles requiring strategic advisement, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
