In our video security and access control (VS&A) portfolio, we develop and manufacture video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Motorola’s Avigilon Unity, Alta, and Pelco solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.
Job Description

This role is responsible for the development, daily management, and strategic evolution of vertical programs and initiatives. This individual will work in collaboration with key internal partners, including Sales, Operations, Training, and Finance, to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of programs that drive partner performance and overall vertical growth.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Vertical Program Development and Strategy: Provide strategy for, and drive business development activities surrounding: 

  • Lead the identification, development, and execution of new business strategies in the assigned vertical

  • Drive market research and analysis to identify trends, new opportunities, and potential partnerships

  • Develop and implement actionable sales and marketing strategies aimed at increasing market share and profitability

  • Continuously evolve the new business insight and process to ensure short term and long term success through sustainable process improvements that become building blocks to become a best in class function

  • Collaborate with Senior Sales Directors with providing guidance, training, and direction to CSEs to help drive business in the assigned vertical 

  • Develop metrics and guide KPI development to help monitor team’s progress against sales targets relative to the assigned vertical

  • Work with senior leadership to develop sales forecasts and necessary budget to deliver overall growth of the business

  • Marketing/Product Development Collaboration and Strategy: Work in coordination with marketing develop standardized market presentations and sales tools for use by the Sales Team 

  • Drive targeted customer engagement and demand generation within key verticals by leading and executing all public-facing activities, including speaking engagements and webinars

  • Liaise with Sales and Product Management to clearly define the product gaps and opportunities needed to accelerate market growth

  • Utilize customer feedback to outline requirements for product improvements and new offerings

  • Provide tactical support in identifying and assessing targets for both product development and potential business acquisitions

Additional Skills: 

  • 5+ years of solution sales experience. Seeking experience in video, video analytics or other security technologies

  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives, with a team-first approach

  • Proven team player with success collaborating with multiple departments while maintaining tact and diplomacy that lead to successful results

  • Strong vertical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions

  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships

  • Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy & sales philosophy

  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Must have the ability to travel up throughout North America as business needs dictate 

  • Must be able to demo VS&A products and talk about MSI solutions

Target Base Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
