What you’ll be doing...

At Verizon, we don’t just wait for the future; we build it. As an Business Intelligence Intern within our Fiber Engineering & Operations (FE&O) Transformation & Business Enablement team, you’ll support core business enablement and process evolution for Fiber Engineering & Operations. You’ll be embedded within our Center Operations Agile Transformation teams, working hands-on to optimize capabilities for Tier 1 Repair Fiber Solution Center, Tier 2 Network Technicians, and Dispatch Operations.  In this role, you won't be observing from the sidelines. You’ll plug directly into an active, mid-flight Agile scrum team, picking up backlog items to analyze customer friction, map journey events, and fine-tune agentic AI capabilities across our support layers and channels. Working across applications like, GECX, GCP, Looker, ConvoIQ, and Tableau, you’ll synthesize customer interaction transcripts and LLM performance logs to drive backlog priorities and optimize our agentic network.

In this hybrid internship, based out of Irving, TX, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. If relocation is required, relocation assistance may be available. 

You’ll also join us for the Intern Marquee event in Basking Ridge, NJ, a unique, in-person experience designed exclusively for all US interns. This multi-day event is your chance to build your connections through structured networking, and be inspired by top executives in a professional environment.

All successful applicants to this role will:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028, and be in good academic standing.
  • Have ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week (temporary) internship between June 2027 to August 2027.
  • Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Be willing and able to travel.
  • Be willing and able to relocate.
  • Demonstrate agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication.
  • Bring experiences in advanced predictive analytics & data architecture, potentially demonstrated by work in transitioning systems from historical reporting to predictive, algorithmic forecasting, behavioral data modeling, or data structuring.
  • Have demonstrated experience with Generative AI Frameworks & Tools (LangChain, AutoGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in one of the following majors: Information Technology, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related major.
  • Complex Problem Solving & Critical Thinking.
  • Experience with operations/ leadership project management and Agile or Scrum.
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects, applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification to solve complex problems and streamline workflows across matrixed teams. 
  • A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative, with proven ability to leverage technical/data literacy (including AI tools) to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver customer-centric outcomes.

Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
