Job Description

The Loan Verifications Specialist plays a critical role in the consumer lending process by reviewing and validating customer information, resolving application requirements and supporting loan funding activities. This role is idea for someone who is detail oriented, customer-focused, and enjoys investigating information, solving problems and ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

In the Role

  • Review and verify customer information, documentation, and loan stipulations for accuracy and compliance.

  • Investigate and resolve missing information by working with customers, branch teams, underwriting, and third-party partners.

  • Validate identity, employment, income, and other information used in loan decisions.

  • Review loan documentation and support funding activities to ensure timely and accurate loan disbursement.

  • Identify potential fraud indicators, discrepancies, or complex situations and escalate as appropriate.

  • Deliver exceptional service while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED 

  • 1 year of customer service experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Customer-focused with an investigative mindset and sound judgment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Technical aptitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services, consumer lending, loan processing, verification, underwriting support, fraud review, or related fields.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with performance and service-level goals.

Location: On site in Tempe, AZ

Schedule: Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6a-8p AZ time (7a-9p Daylight Savings time) and Saturday 6a-1p. The schedule is 40 hours per week within hours of operation, which includes up to 3 Saturdays per quarter.
