In this position, the Verification Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor. The Verification Engineer will be working in a cross functional team to develop and execute test plans which will verify product functionality, adherence to specifications and production requirements; including SW stack and use case testing. The Verification Engineer may, at times, also debug, identify root cause, and resolve issues as they occur.
General Responsibilities
- Develop test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for firmware and hardware stack validation.
- Design test effort preparation and track requirements, schedules, and actions.
- Create, track, document and summarize test results.
- Design, analyze and contribute to improving and enhancing test plans and scripts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues during testing and find resolutions to any system issues found.
- Work in close collaboration with build technicians to ensure systems are built, configured, and prepared correctly for testing.
- Work with other team members to ensure new products and SW/HW are appropriately baselined before testing commences.
- Review test plan and test cases.
- Take ownership of deliverables and drive independently.
- Contribute towards excellence in a high collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Work closely with Project Manager and other team members.
- Communication and collaboration with global team members for product development.
Experience
- 4 to 7 years of hard-core experience in verification of Embedded/Control Systems.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Experience with Serial communications: CAN (J1939, UDS, CAN Open), LIN, and SPI.
- Functional Safety process experience: IEC-61508, ISO-25119, and/or ISO-26262 is a major plus.
- Experience on Vector tools is preferred.
- Experience working with Systems Engineers is a major plus.
- Experience working with Hardware in the Loop (HIL) is a major plus.
- Experience with Python language. (Optional)
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results on time.
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Strong Analytical skills and Problem-Solving capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communications/Instrument & Control/Embedded Systems or equivalent required.
