Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Vehicle system Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples - IT

Accountabilities
The rule will require to understand vehicle system functions and analyse the diagnostic and maintenance data with the scope to:
- identify the cause of the fault and support the maintenance staff to repair it.
- Support the driver to manage the fault when it happens with the scope to reduce its effect on the vehicle mission.
- improve vehicle diagnostic system functions , maintenance and dépannage procedures
- define requirements to develop algorithms that generate Automatic work orders to maintenance staff
- support design department to improve vehicle system design and functions
- support maintenance engineer department to improve maintenance plan and procedures
Required Skills/Knowledge
It is our expectation that successful applicants should be able to demonstrate all of the experience and skills listed below:
- From 2 to 4 years of experience in railway vehicle systems design or Vehicle maintenance engineer
- Expert to interpret electrical drawing, pneumatic drawings, system specification software specification and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of RCM principles and methodology
- Expert in Railway vehicle system functions
- Expert to analyze and correlate data from different sources (e.i. vehicle diagnostic events, maintenance reports, etc)
- Expert to define maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
- Able to perform statistical analysis including quality control.
- Able to use diagnostic tool
- Problem solving
Education/Qualifications
Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering master Degree or equivalent technical background or equivalent technical background
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
