About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

The Role

We’re seeking a Vehicle Product Manager to lead the ongoing strategy and definition of our 2-wheel pedal-powered micromobility platform — including electric, pedal-assist urban, utility, and cargo bicycles. You’ll shape how our products delight our users with best-in-class ride quality, durability, utility, and features while remaining manufacturable and globally competitive.

This role is focused on what to build and why, not how or when. You’ll collaborate closely with our Engineering and Technical Program Management (TPM) teams, who respectively handle execution and schedule. Your work will center on insight-driven product strategy, definition, and alignment across teams.

What You Will Do

Product Strategy & Definition

  • Own the product roadmap for pedal-powered 2-wheel vehicles, defining platform evolution and variant differentiation.

  • Translate rider insights, market data, and emerging trends into clear product requirements and success criteria.

  • Lead concept exploration and requirement alignment across design, engineering, and operations.

Market & User Insights

  • Conduct user research, field testing, and competitive analysis across commuter, cargo, and recreational cycling segments.

  • Represent the voice of the rider and advocate for their needs throughout product development.

  • Gather and synthesize insights from retail partners, fleet operators, and early adopters.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering and design to align on technical feasibility, aesthetics, and performance.

  • Work closely with the TPM team, while you drive product direction and prioritization.

  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all regional and international requirements are met.

  • Partner with the technical writing team to support creation of manuals, user guides, service documents, and training materials.

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure our products are represented accurately and compellingly to our target customers

Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement

  • Track product performance, feedback, and market reception to inform roadmap updates.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization, feature enhancement, or modular expansion.

What You Will BringRequired
  • 5+ years of product management experience in bicycles, micromobility, electric vehicles, or related hardware.

  • Deep understanding of bicycle systems — frame design, drivetrains, component integration, and ergonomics.

  • Deep understanding of connected and software-defined products.

  • Proven success defining and launching mechanical or human-powered products.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cargo or utility-oriented bicycles.

  • Familiarity with connected cycling technology and digital rider tools.

  • Background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or product development.

The salary for this position ranges from $180,000-$220,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Why ALSO.

We’re passionate about helping the world find a better way to get there—wherever it is you’re headed.

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates.

  • Rich fertility and family building benefits with Progyny.

  • Flexible time off.
