PURPOSE:
Performs installation of accessories and movement of vehicles for dealer network using clients’ systems (SAP/VMS/VDS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures vehicles are scanned into inventory.
- Perform QC1, PD1, Prepping car
- Supports process of inbound and outbound vehicle movements using FIFO.
- Performs installation of clients accessories and parts using hand tools or other equipment provided by client.
- Ensures work tools are properly assigned and counted.
- Visually inspects vehicles and parts for quality defects.
- Ensures parts are properly scrapped or recycled.
- Utilizes SAP/VMS/VDS for processing vehicle service orders and vehicle movements.
- Utilizes handheld scanners for updating vehicle locations.
- Acts as contact quality for any defects found on parts or vehicles.
- Assists where necessary including accessory install, vehicle movements and scanning inventory.
- Daily problem solving and adherence to work instructions.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
- Understands and models VPS Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must be able to drive manual cars.
- Need to be able to navigate computer programs
- Must be comfortable to work in all weather conditions, approximately 25% of day will be outside.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- 1+ years of experience work experience (in a production environment preferred).
- 1+ years of experience with all MS Office applications
- 1+ years of vehicle experience
- 1+ years Logistics and/or warehouse knowledge
- 1+ years SAP knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Spartanburg, SC
- Schedule: Mon – Fri: 6am-2:40pm (Lunch 12:00pm- 12:40pm, Break time: 8am-8:10am & 10am- 10:10am). Overtime on Weekends as needed.
- Assignment Start: ASAP
